Hasib Hourani is a Lebanese-Palestinian writer, editor, arts worker and educator living on unceded Gadigal Country. His debut book, rock flight was released with Giramondo (AU) and Prototype (UK) in 2024, and with New Directions (US) in 2025. rock flight won the Mary Gilmore Award and the NSWLA Kenneth Slessor Prize for Poetry. It was shortlisted for the Victorian Premier's Literary Award for Poetry, the UTS Glenda Adams Award for New Writing and the Seamus Heaney First Collection Prize. rock flight is a Poetry Book Society Recommendation and was highly commended in the Anne Alder Award.

Hasib is currently working on his second book, funded by Creative Australia.
